Custom Foot Orthotics

If you’re having issues related to walking and alignment, custom foot orthotics are a great way to alleviate pain and take stress off your body. Whether you have issues with lower back pain, knee pain or foot pain, orthotics help realign the bones within the foot and ankle and reduce strain on the back, neck, shoulders and hips. At our practice in Algonquin and Rolling Meadows, IL, Dr. Richard Robinson and Dr. Nicholas Cone utilize custom orthotics in addition to chiropractic adjustments to relieve his patients’ pain and help their bodies heal.

Orthotics are a great option for those with any issues or discomfort related to walking or imbalance in the body. They can be worn on a daily basis and during most activities to take undue stress off your joints and ensure that your body is aligned and moving properly. In addition to relieving pressure on your hips, neck, back and shoulders, orthotics help distribute your weight properly and take further pressure off of your toes, bunions and other areas of the foot.

Custom orthotics are a great investment in your biomechanical health and overall wellness, and our team here at Robinson Family Chiropractic can help you get them. Fitting in your shoe much like an insole, orthotics are an easy and beneficial way to increase your health on a daily basis. Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that manifests itself as pain, tingling, burning and numbness in your feet, legs and hands. While most common in diabetics there are multiple causes of the condition including: thyroid disease, vitamin B issues, Lyme disease, kidney disease, anemia, alcoholism and some statin drugs. If you are suffering from this condition, the team at Robinson Family Chiropractic can help. Providing peripheral neuropathy diagnosis and treatment, our chiropractors Dr. Richard Robinson and Dr. Nicholas Cone can prevent nerve damage before it progresses too far.

Through our neuropathy program, patients who are suspected to have peripheral neuropathy can receive a skin biopsy, which is important for diagnosing neuropathy in small nerve fibers and also for following the progression of the patient’s condition during treatment. Once peripheral neuropathy has been diagnosed, Dr. Robinson can continue with treatment, which often includes cold laser therapy and vibration therapy.  In addition to alleviating the symptoms of the condition, chiropractic treatments for peripheral neuropathy can also prevent further nerve damage. If it is left untreated, neuropathy can lead to more serious complications that can require amputation.

Personal Injury

Here at Robinson Family Chiropractic, we provide chiropractic care for many situations, including personal injury. A personal injury can occur from a variety of circumstances, ranging from a fall from a ladder or roof to chronic back or shoulder pain and moving “wrong” during sleep. These particular injuries occur outside of the workplace.

With chiropractic care, we not only address the problem at hand, but work to improve the entire body. Our care focuses on the fact that all of the body’s systems are connected, so when one area is healed, the rest of the body soon follows suit. This is also why we like to perform adjustments for many of our patients, regardless of the injury. With an adjustment, we put the spine back into alignment, helping the entire body to improve itself ability to heal itself.

We encourage patients to visit our practice not just to find relief for their injury, but to prevent more complications. Many times, ignoring a type of pain or trauma can worsen the condition, and cause more of the body to go into physical distress. We look forward to your visit! Hip Pain

Hip pain is a common condition that is experienced by our patients, though there are many different areas of the hip that are causing the pain. Some causes of hip pain we see include arthritis, bursitis, and fractures of the hip, tendon strain and muscle strain. Dr. Richard Robinson, Dr. Nicholas Cone and the entire team at Robinson Family Chiropractic provide chiropractic care to help relieve the pain and prevent further damage to the hip joint. In many situations, the hip pain is a result of the body being out of alignment.

The symptoms of hip pain not only include pain and stiffness in the hip, but also in the following areas of the body:
  • Thigh
  • Groin
  • Buttocks
  • Inside the hip joint
  • Outside the hip joint
Chiropractic care helps our patients with hip pain through adjustments and manipulations, massage and preventative care. We locate the cause of the pain and use that to determine the best available treatment. We assess each case individually and work to prevent further pain episodes as much as possible. Call our offices today if you are need of some hip TLC! Rolling Meadows: 847-963-4894 and Algonquin 847-458-8444 or visit our website www.handsdoc.com.
