Custom Foot Orthotics

If you’re having issues related to walking and alignment, custom foot orthotics are a great way to alleviate pain and take stress off your body. Whether you have issues with lower back pain, knee pain or foot pain, orthotics help realign the bones within the foot and ankle and reduce strain on the back, neck, shoulders and hips. At our practice in Algonquin and Rolling Meadows, IL, Dr. Richard Robinson and Dr. Nicholas Cone utilize custom orthotics in addition to chiropractic adjustments to relieve his patients’ pain and help their bodies heal.

Orthotics are a great option for those with any issues or discomfort related to walking or imbalance in the body. They can be worn on a daily basis and during most activities to take undue stress off your joints and ensure that your body is aligned and moving properly. In addition to relieving pressure on your hips, neck, back and shoulders, orthotics help distribute your weight properly and take further pressure off of your toes, bunions and other areas of the foot.

Custom orthotics are a great investment in your biomechanical health and overall wellness, and our team here at Robinson Family Chiropractic can help you get them. Fitting in your shoe much like an insole, orthotics are an easy and beneficial way to increase your health on a daily basis. For more information regarding orthotics ot any of our other services please call our offices today! Rolling Meadows: 847-963-4894 and Algonquin 847-458-8444. www.handsdoc.com

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that manifests itself as pain, tingling, burning and numbness in your feet, legs and hands. While most common in diabetics there are multiple causes of the condition including: thyroid disease, vitamin B issues, Lyme disease, kidney disease, anemia, alcoholism and some statin drugs. If you are suffering from this condition, the team at Robinson Family Chiropractic can help. Providing peripheral neuropathy diagnosis and treatment, our chiropractors Dr. Richard Robinson and Dr. Nicholas Cone can prevent nerve damage before it progresses too far.

Through our neuropathy program, patients who are suspected to have peripheral neuropathy can receive a skin biopsy, which is important for diagnosing neuropathy in small nerve fibers and also for following the progression of the patient’s condition during treatment. Once peripheral neuropathy has been diagnosed, Dr. Robinson can continue with treatment, which often includes cold laser therapy and vibration therapy.  In addition to alleviating the symptoms of the condition, chiropractic treatments for peripheral neuropathy can also prevent further nerve damage. If it is left untreated, neuropathy can lead to more serious complications that can require amputation.

To schedule an appointment at our Algonquin or Rolling Meadows, IL office, call 847-458-8444 and 847-963-4894 respectively. For more information about Dr. Richard Robinson, Dr. Nicholas Cone and additional services at Robinson Family Chiropractic Centers, visit www. handsdoc.com.
